Please continue to keep my Father-in-Law in prayers. Delayed Open Heart Surgery.
We received news this morning that the pre-surgery blood work showed that his white blood count was extremely high. They have given him antibiotics and is sending him home. They have rescheduled the surgery until December 28th, at which time they are replacing 2 valves that are not working properly.

Please keep my Father-in-Law in your prayers.
Last April, my Father-in-Law, went in for neck surgery. He had several vertebrae that were fused together. The Doctors said he could move the wrong way and paralyze himself. During the surgery, he started loosing a lot of blood, so much so they almost lost him. They found that there was a valve in his heart that was not properly attached/working, that caused him to bleed internally. The heart Doctor and the neck Doctor wanted the other to preform their surgery first because they didn't want to be the one that caused problems on the operating table.
In October, the neck surgery and one of the heart specialists decided that he could not wait any longer and that they had to do the neck surgery. There were no complications this time. He has been telling us how much better he feels and that he can swallow without pain now.
They called him Thanksgiving week, to come in to be cleared to have the neck surgery. He was cleared, they told him they would like to preform Open Heart surgery December 11th, but he told them his son was being hooded on the 12th and he wanted to go. They agreed to postpone until Monday, December 14th. He is currently on his way down to Birmingham, Alabama to spend the night before reporting to UAB Hospital at 5 am for surgery. Glenda and her sister, Judy are going to stay at the hotel and travel back and forth to the hospital daily to spend time with him.
Please keep Wayne's surgery in your thoughts and prayers, along with the family as we all deal with our worry about him.

Not sure I can believe it
I took Xander to get new shoes. His were starting to get threadbare in places and he has only had them since August. Well his old shoes were men's size 10, his new ones are men's 11 1/5. He is only twelve, he can't have feet that big.

Happy Thanksgiving
To all my family, friends,
Whether you are with those you love, family, friends, co-works, work, unable to travel to be with them, serving your country, whatever the reason. You are missed. I hope you all have great weekend where ever you are.

New Internship
I lucked into an internship. David was talking to the Dean Tzeng of the Whitson-Hester School of Nursing at Tennessee Tech about a research they are working on. During their meeting, she mentioned that she was needing some marketing help. David mentioned that I was sitting outside waiting for his meeting to end and that I was a Marketing and Business Information Technology major. She asked him to have me come in. I spoke with her for about an hour, and she asked me to come back on Monday, November 23, after my morning class and meet with a few others. By the time I left that meeting, I had an internship and had about a dozen projects with 3 top projects.

Spring 2016
I have registered for my Spring classes. I am taking 15 hours. I have 4 classes Mondays & Wednesday, Principles of Accounting I, Principles of Macroeconomics, American History I, and Music Appreciation.
I only have 1 class on Tuesday and Thursday and it is American Literature.
On Friday, I have 3 classes, Principles of Macroeconomics, American History I, and Music Appreciation.
Xander is happy I don't have any classes after 3.
I also just received an internship, that they are having me start working on some of the projects now. I am going to be working on marketing projects for the Whitson-Hester School of Nursing at Tennessee Technological University. I am already working on some projects and looking forward to working on some of the others that we have discussed me working on.

Reason I haven't blogged
Well to be honest, between school, family and work, I have been a bit busy. I kind of forgot about posting to this blog. Let see, Spring of 2015 I started back to school. I am working on a dual degree of Marketing and Business Information Technology. I took 16 credit hours in the Spring, 6 in the Summer and 16 in the Fall. Last February we moved to another house to rent since ours had not sold so we were not going to be able to purchase the one we were leasing to purchase. So now we are in a bigger house that has some issues but I love it. The house has personality which, our house in Alabama had but it was modeled like everyone else's. The house we were in when we first moved here, was about 100 square feet bigger than our Alabama house but it felt smaller, it was a plain ranch style brick house.
We moved to the new place back in February during the ice/snow weeks. We are in a space that compared to our home in Alabama, this place is that size and half again (more or less). We are loving it (well except David and Xander hate all the leaves they have to rack). The house has a lot of trees, that if we owned the house, several would come down quickly and I could be talked into replacing them with something else.
